Today we flew the AMA Fast 2D class. It was another great day of combat! There were several really good matches, and several poor ones. There were pilots from all over the USA and we had zero altercations or complaints.
Bill Maywald was flying for a 3rd/4th spot on the podium and suffered a major engine destruction. Surprisingly enough, his opponent, Neil Simpson’s engine wasn’t hurt and restarted for the win with airtime. The final match was Jeff Johnson against Dave Fischer. They had two really fast models and flew some great combat. Jeff took the win with a clean kill.
Senior class had Sam Londke good for the win. The entire day went so smoothly due to the CD, Dave Edwards, running a great event. We start Speed Limit on Thursday morning at 8:30 and have lots of contestants entered. I expect it to go all day.
